My interest in astrology deepened when I became involved in serious esoteric studies into the realms of magic and practical occultism in the late 1970's and early 1980's. In the esoteric sciences, disciplines such as Astrology and Tarot are considered to be fundamental tools to help the student in his or her understanding of the nature of mankind and the universe. It was at this time that I performed my first Tarot reading.
For many years my life was occupied by more mundane concerns. However in recent years, I have studied intensively and received private coaching from skilled Tarot readers. Around the same time I began formal Astrology studies with Melbourne Astrologer Rita Minzenmay.
As my astrology studies progressed in more detail, I was surprised to learn how much a natal chart could reveal about a person. We would often use our own charts to see if we had particular astrological features. I was frequently astonished to find that so much of who I am is reflected in my chart, for anyone with sufficient skill to read.
I have been interpreting charts, and performing Tarot readings for clients since 1995. During 1998 I wrote, and often presented, weekly astrology advice for radio 3vyv, where I was also a regular guest astrologer later in the year. In addition I wrote the "weekly stars" for the Ranges Trader Mail - who wrote an article about me, which is included below with their kind permission. Around the same time I was interviewed on radio 3MDR. In November 1999, I was interviewed about the change of millennium, from an astrological perspective, for the "Pathways" television show on Channel 31. In May 2000, I presented two half-hour teaching shows also for "Pathways" - one on Qabalah and the other on Astrology.
I have also given presentations, and taught classes in Astrology and Tarot, incorporating Qabalistic principles.

For the technically minded, I use the charting program Mercury for the
Macintosh which is an excellent program, but unfortunately no longer
available. In 2004 I offered to purchase this program so that I could
update and re-release it, but was anable to convince the current owners
of the software.
For Tarot readings, I prefer to use the Aleister Crowley Thoth Tarot deck because it is visually beautiful, and includes the astrological correspondences on each card. This allows me to tap into the astrological interpretations as well as the more conventional Tarot meanings. I personally find it a very sophisticated deck, that allows for intelligent and in-depth readings, although sometimes I will preform another layout with a different deck to get a different perspective on the client's situation. I usually use the Celtic Cross layout, but will use other spreads to extract more information as required.
