This is the exact text of a "Your Say" post in response to an article about the rovoking of Dr Mohamad Haneef's VISA. This decision effectively overturned the court's bail decision.

We now live in a country where the risk of human rights abuses from our elected government exceed the risk of terrorism!

On Kevin Andrews actions, the timing of his decision says it all. This is a ruse by the government - this is their 2007 Tampa/children overboard. They are hoping to prey on the climate of fear that they have worked so hard to engender.

I just hope that the electorate has the insight to see through their tactics.

When we sacrifice our basic rights for the sake of our national security, then we have already lost the fight against terrorism.
